COVID-19 Relief Registered Nurse

Nurses – Registered Nurses (R.N.s) are needed for COVID-19 staffing relief at public and private licensed facilities statewide for people with disabilities, seniors, people experiencing homelessness, support for persons impacted by domestic violence, sexual violence and trafficking/exploitation, and others receiving specialized services for substance use disorder, mental health concerns, or other conditions.

The minimum compensation is $70.00 per hour. Flexible schedules are being offered with variable start dates. All nursing backgrounds will be considered. Remote on-call engagements are available! Meals and lodging per diem allocations are available to those who qualify.

Role:

You will provide direct care and support, including assisting people with the daily tasks of living in licensed long-term care settings or in licensed community-based facilities. The persons served have a wide range of needs and specialized services including cognitive impairment, physical impairment, mental health impairment, substance use disorder, persons experiencing homelessness, and domestic or sexual violence. The persons served can be vulnerable adults under Minnesota law and can include minors under age 18.

Position Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e. a United States citizen or national or a lawful permanent resident)
  • Ability to work during any of the three shifts, including nights and weekends.
  • A valid and unencumbered Minnesota Registered Nurse license.
  • Personal care, cleaning, escorting, providing meals.
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended period of times, including the entire work shift.
  • Lifting (usually up to 25 pounds), carrying, and stooping can be necessary.
  • Resources may be in locations where residents (patients) and/or employees have tested
    positive for COVID-19.
  • You must be fully vaccinated (a completed series of 2 doses of Pfizer or Moderna or 1 dose of Johnson and Johnson) and have received a booster shot, if eligible.
  • If working in a Substance Use Disorder Treatment Center, all resources who have direct client contact must document that they meet the either A or B of the following requirements:
    • A. Program Directors, supervisors, nurses, assessors, and any other persons who have direct client contact must be free of chemical use problems for at least two years immediately preceding hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
    • B. Technicians must be free of chemical use problems for at least six months immediately prior to their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
