Administrative – Accountants are needed to develop, implement, and maintain financial records for a Covid-19 contract tracing grant at McHenry County Department of Health. The minimum compensation is $36.94 per hour. Day shift schedules are being offered with variable start dates.
Position Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain financial records for COVID-19 Contact Tracing Grant, making use of current technologies
- Analyze revenues and expenditures for correct coding and assignment in County D65 system
- Examine grant reconciliations and reports to assess accuracy, completeness and conformance to standards defined by the Grantor
- Participate in the preparation, evaluation, justification, and maintenance of budgets and budgetary controls
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls
- Prepare documentation/information for review by internal and external auditors

Education and Licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a bachelor’s degree in a related field with three to five years of professional accounting experience to include grants

Position Responsibilities
- Conducts interviews of clients with confirmed or probable COVID-19
- Using disease specific information, interviews will assess signs and symptoms, underlying health conditions, onset, activities/work/recreation to determine contacts, assessing support needs to maintain health and compliance during self-isolation
- Provide recommendations for self-isolation and review daily monitoring procedures
- Enter interview data into Illinois Salesforce Contact Tracing system
- Communicates with contacts to notify them of exposure and provide guidance
- Asks clients about signs/symptoms and underlying medical conditions
- Provides referrals for testing, if needed
- Provides recommendations for self-quarantine
